Validation of the Entrepreneurs’ Financing Decision model: the case of Venture Capital

Rezumat

The aim of this study is to conceptualize entrepreneurs' financing decisions model. This model
is developed based on the theory of planned behavior and self-determination. We then tested it
on a sample of 182 entrepreneurs and were able to confirm the unidimensionality of our
concepts, as well as the reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient like the Composite Reliability)
and the convergent and discriminant validity of their measurement scales. In addition, this
model was found to be remarkably well-fitted to the data, indicating its suitability for more in-
depth analysis.
