Résumé

The rise in ecological concerns in recent years has made it essential to take this factor into account in company management. In this context, where the normative constraint guides a new industrial culture, firms are developing different strategies. In view of the importance of the conflict between economic objectives and the consideration of the ecological aspect in strategic decision-making, the aim of this study is to highlight the typologies of strategic behavior of industrial companies with regard to ecological data in the African context, and more specifically in Cameroon. The methodology adopted is based on an inductive case study approach. Indeed, we not only conducted semi-directive interviews but also collected secondary data from 8 industrial companies. The results obtained show that out of the five criteria used to characterize strategic behaviors, none of the eight cases studied showed a stable behavior that would allow them to be characterized as eco-conformist or eco-sensitive.
