Abstract

Islamic investment funds have become increasingly important due to the strong demand from
many investors. In Morocco, Islamic finance is still young and the number of funds remains
small. This article compares the performance and risk sensitivity of Islamic mutual funds to
that of their conventional peers. The results suggest that over the selected period, Islamic
funds slightly outperformed conventional funds.
