The importance of the role of business creation justifies the large growing concern of
entrepreneurship researches around the world. It has been one of the main subjects of a broad
scientific interest (Gartner, 1990 ; Davidsson et Wiklund, 1997 ; Boyd & Vozikis, 1994 ;
Verstraete, 2000 ; Bachelet et al., 2004 ; Jeune, 2008 ; Fayolle, 2006 ; Gasse & Tremblay,
2016 ; Stambouli, 2017 ; Tesse, 2018 ; Renon, 2019, etc.). It is then crucial to witness the
development and the apprehension of this surely human action that is entrepreneurship.
Starting a business is a source of fulfillment for both states and individuals. The decision to
become an entrepreneur remains mainly unique. It is above all driven by different sets of
factors. For the purposes of our research, we conducted a survey among 110 SMEs
entrepreneurs in the Moroccan region Casablanca-Settat. Research results show that the
nascency of SMEs is mostly the result of different factors varying from economical, sociocultural to psychological determinants.
